Account Manager

Rian has worked in marketing for more than ten years, across agencies, in-house teams and his own consultancy.

He joined Dark Horse in 2026 after six years running a marketing business, where he worked with clients across education, property, professional services, hospitality, membership and B2B. That experience gave him a broad view of marketing, but also a good understanding of what clients need from an agency beyond the work itself.

Rian likes to get a proper understanding of the business, what makes it tick, ask the right questions and keep communication clear. He is particularly interested in a holistic view of how different channels and teams work together, rather than looking at each part in isolation.

He has also delivered marketing training and workshops to more than 600 people. His work has received a number of regional awards and recognitions, and he was named as one of Liverpool John Moores University’s ‘200 People’ during its bicentenary year.
