You don’t stay in SEO for 20 years without seeing it all. Matt officially hit that two-decade milestone in 2026, bringing a rare depth of industry experience to the Dark Horse team. He joined the agency in December ’25, adding to an already powerhouse technical department.
Before joining Dark Horse, Matt spent 10 years running his own SEO consultancy. He specialises in the difficult intersection of technical infrastructure and content strategy, having solved complex problems for clients in FinTech, luxury retail, the arts and more.
Prior to running his consultancy, Matt spent a decade cutting his teeth in digital agencies around the Greater Manchester area.
Matt isn’t one for industry hype or shouting the loudest. Instead, he applies a cool, analytical approach to client strategy, ensuring that complex campaigns are built on solid foundations. He’s a steady hand who knows exactly how to make the search engines work for our clients.
